As you all know, supporting brands that are making a conscious effort to produce their clothing sustainably is extremely important to me. A lot of people don’t know that jeans are some of the most water intensive pieces of clothing to produce, with one pair taking up to 1,800 gallons to make. So with World Water Day coming up on March 22nd, I am honored to be partnering with Levi’s to share with you all some jeans from their amazing Water<Less collection.
The pieces in their Water<Less collection reduce the use of water in the finishing process by up to 96% for some styles and have saved over 172 million liters of water thus far. On top of saving water, the jeans still have the perfect fit, allow me to move freely throughout my day and come in all the classic Levi’s washes you want.
This World Water day is all about tackling the water crisis by addressing the reasons why so many people are being left behind. Billions of people around the world don’t have direct access to clean or safe water, and why they do, marginalized groups like women, children, refugees and others are often left out. This is why Levi’s has spent years developing their Water<Less technology, with the goal to have more than 80% of the products they make Water<Less by 2020.
